Through the years I have taken the temperature of the room when it comes to plumbing and what people think of plumbers. While it is a vital part of any developed country, plumbers have been found left and right gouging corporate companies and home owners. Why? because it is a critical skill that not many people know. While sometimes plumbing can look a little intimidating, taking things slow and doing your own reading can save you a lot of money and add another skill to your tool box.

Plumbing is all about learning your connections and how water tends to act in certain applications. The biggest question in plumbing is: “Is this pipe pressurized? if yes, where do we turn it off and drain it to make the needed repairs.” If you can answer those 2 questions then the biggest battle is over. Years of experience have made these 2 question easy for a plumber to identify, but was never taught to home owners.
